Which is the best ebook reader on android? and what is the best alternative to iBooks on iOS?

Have been long looking for a good ebook reader on android to be able to read PDF books which I used as reference books and always needed readily available. Earlier used Moon+ Reader which is also good. But I always had the issue of losing out on my books when I switched to a different mobile device.

The best out there is Google Books. It allows you to upload your own downloaded books (both in PDF & EPUB formats) from either your PC or your Android phone onto the Google Books Cloud storage and then the books can be used on all your devices using the Google Books app.

To upload your PDFs and other files onto Google Books, go to the below link and click on the "Upload Files" button on the top right-hand side


Note that you can open the same link from your chrome browser on your Android phone as well and chose the option of "Desktop Site" to ensure that you see the "Upload Files" button.





























  • With Google Books you can now start reading your books on your laptop and then continue reading the next day from you mobile device where you stopped on your laptop.
  • It also gives you option of translating texts through Google Translate directly from with the Google books app on your mobile or even on your computer/laptop from the browser.
